WHERE PEOPLE GATHER NEWMAN VIRTUAL SOCIAL GROUP: "The Lesser of Two Evils" - Parts I & II
(January 7th & 14th) via Zoom: https://viterbo.zoom.us/j/93935697420
A dilemma is a situation where a person is forced to choose between two or more conflicting options, neither of which is acceptable. This week and next, we will look at some hypothetical and historical situations where choices may have unwanted consequences (also known as choosing the lesser of two evils). We hope to have thoughtful discussions about what you would do if you were the decision maker and ask you to defend your choice(s).
The event will be led by David Boisen, who currently lives and works remotely for Western Technical College from his small cabin in the forested mountains of southern New Mexico.
David earned a bachelor’s degree in History and Broad Field Social Science from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. He completed his master’s degree in Education at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. He is grateful to the Army for helping to finance both degrees. Major Boisen retired in 2003 after serving 22 years in the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
For the sake of his knee joints, David transitioned out of service to Cadet Command in 2011 but continued to work in higher education. Since then, he has held positions as an Academic Advisor for first generation and Pell Grant eligible college students, a Title V Grant Activity Director, and a Learning Technology Consultant. He has been working as an Instructional Designer since 2014.
David loves all things Wisconsin, apart from winter and mosquitoes.
