Saint of the day - All of our Holy Dead
Readings for today’s Mass
On All Souls Day, we recognize all our beloved departed, our holy dead who the Church collectively names as the Faithful Departed. When we call them the Faithful Departed, we acknowledge their membership in the Communion of Saints who now live on in the presence of God. While we may know some of them by name, my parents, my sister and brother, other family members and dear friends, for the most part, they are now known only to God. They represent thousands of years of faithful individuals who have walked thru paradise with God.
We can all hope to, one day, become part of that illustrious group of nameless souls we collectively celebrate today as the Faithful Departed and Companions.
