How would you answer the question? Do you ever let timing stop you from doing a good deed? We are all good at doing things later. Maybe you see an opportunity to do something good but decide, not right now. i'll get to it later - if ever!
i am sure the man with the withered hand in today's gospel would have accepted Jesus' good action anytime. What did he have to lose. But for Jesus, the time to act was the very moment - law or no law! It made no difference to Jesus if or when he healed the man, but it made all the difference in the world to the man in need of the healing touch.
Never pass by an opportunity to do something good. You never know whose life will be greatly changed.
