In all of this, it is clear that Jesus understands himself as a key figure in anyone's relationship with God. Jesus uses these buzz words much the way he uses his many parables. He makes his point with imagery that the people can relate to. For example, a fruit grower gets the I am the vine scenario. Or a herdsman understands the idea of shepherding. Many students struggle trying to understand God's plan for them. Well guess what; Jesus is the way. He is also the light that enlightens the way so we can better follow the truth as it is revealed to you.
Jesus applies many images to himself so we might better understand him and our relationship to him. Surely there are many others.
