Readings for today’s Mass
What matters is that the son of God was one of us - had a job and worked hard. For more than 110 years, the church has spoken out in support of working men and women, affirming their rights to have a source of income sufficient to provide for themselves the basic needs of food, shelter and clothing. In everything that popes and bishops have written on the subject, they have always promoted the dignity and goodness of human labor.
If you have a job where you work at 100%, do it proudly. Strive to be very good at what you do so that you can give glory to God for the work of your hands.
Take some time today to be grateful for all that you can do so very well.
