Jesus never used such imagery to talk about the kingdom. He never said the kingdom is like a Montana sunset with a trout stream running thru the middle and mountains in the distance. Instead, as in today's gospel, he said it was like something very small with the potential of becoming something very big - say a mustard seed or a bit of yeast. As it grew, a seed of the kingdom was very good and made life better for the many parts of the kingdom. It is far bigger than anything we can imagine in this life, and we are all called to be part of it.
So, you may ask, who gets in? How do i know if i am doing it right to be eligible? Jesus addressed that as well. It is the only place in the gospel that offers a measuring still to tell us how we are doing. It begins with Mt 25:31. You can take it from there. Let us know how you are doing with a comment.
