On the other hand, the season serves to remind us that, not only is Christ coming again, but he is already here. We just never know when or under what circumstances we might encounter him. So we always have to be ready. We live in a state of anticipation of meeting Christ in a roommate, in a professor, in someone we meet on the street or strolling across campus.
As you prepare to celebrate the coming of the Lord, be sure to prepare yourself for the many ways in which you might see him. Will you know him in the encounter of a friend on campus? Will you see him in the visit with a professor or when you see a homeless person? Are you ready for him - wherever?
